Alcoholic beverages
Alcoholic beverages can be promoted with the following restrictions:
- they must not emphasise the alcohol content
- they must not encourage excessive consumption
- they must not be targeted at persons under the age of 18
- they must not create the impression that alcohol consumption ensures social or sexual success or has medicinal properties
- must not emphasize alcohol content as a positive attribute of a drink,
- must not encourage inappropriate use or negatively or ironically evaluate abstinence or restraint,
- must not be targeted at persons under 18 years of age, and these persons or persons who look younger than 18 years of age must not be depicted consuming alcoholic beverages; the use of elements, means or events intended for persons under the age of 18 is also prohibited,
- they must not create the impression that alcohol consumption ensures social or sexual success,
- must not claim that alcohol in a beverage has medicinal properties or an invigorating or calming effect or that it is a means of solving personal problems,
- must not combine the use of alcohol with increased performance or be used in connection with driving a vehicle.
A landing page has to contain information that it is prohibited to sell alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 18 - for example in the form of age gate- in case alcoholic beverages can be purchased on the landing page.
